Last night we hit Open Mic Night at Sam Ash Music for the first time in months. It was great to be back! There was a lot of talent on display and a lot of new faces, as well as some old favs. (Michelle, Ken, Lee, and Markiss? We’re lookin’ at you!)
We played "Teen Vampire Romance" and "Screen Images Simulated". The drum and monitor situation has improved dramatically and everyone sounds better now, even us! Hopefully a video of last night will go up soon.
We are working on a new song as well. We aim to get it recorded and mixed by the 21st for reasons we will go into once it is done. So, three cheers for another reason why the new site design isn’t up yet! Anyway, we plan to premier that to the world two weeks from now (4/16/14). Also on the 16th, we are planning to back up Michelle Hodge’s performance of “All and All”. (Because hey, not everything we do is grimdark!)
So far, we plan to play Open Mic Night on the 16th and again on the 23rd. After that, it will be every odd Wednesday of every month (because we are odd) until further notice.
It was a nice bonus to be declared someone’s favorite “vampire rockers”, even if we can neither confirm nor deny that we are actually vampires. It was also nice to know someone shipped us with each other. Good thing we’re married! Here’s hoping any Graveside Breakfast fanfics won’t be too tame. And what’s a little bloodplay between spouses? (I mean, besides being TMI.) Stay grimdark!
